Overview

We are seeking an experienced .NET + Golang developer to take over an existing project involving communication with PLC systems. The application utilizes Golang for communication via Modbus and COMAP protocols, while the .NET application interfaces with PLC systems using Modbus in collaboration with ČEPS (Czech Transmission System Operator).

Mission

Assume responsibility for the current project and gain an understanding of the existing codebase and system
Modbus Communication: Maintain and troubleshoot applications that interact with PLCs using Modbus and COMAP protocols
Problem Solving: Resolve minor issues and bugs in both the Golang and .NET applications
Project Maintenance: Ensure the continued operation and stability of the system with a focus on performance and reliability
Collaboration: Work closely with the existing team and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project progress
Availability to work up to 40 hours per month initially, with flexibility depending on project needs
Experience in working with industrial systems, particularly PLCs, is an advantage

Skills

Knowledge of Golang, especially in network communication protocols
Proficiency in .NET development, particularly with Modbus communication
Experience with Modbus and COMAP communication protocols, or similar industrial protocols
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications
Ability to manage small-scale maintenance tasks efficiently
