IT Senior Cloud Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team and take ownership of the design, development and operation of our cloud infrastructure. If you enjoy automation, modern DevOps practices and building secure, scalable cloud solutions, we'd love to meet you.
You'll become part of the team responsible for evolving a cloud platform built on AWS. Your main focus will be designing and operating the cloud architecture, automating infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code and evolving our CI/CD pipelines. You'll work closely with development teams, help them ship applications faster and more safely, and contribute to technology decisions across the organisation.

Mission
- Design, implement and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
- Evolve and optimise GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Automate deployment processes and standardise environments
- Optimise cloud infrastructure costs
- Identify and address performance and security risks
- Collaborate with development teams on cloud solution design
- Mentor less experienced colleagues and support the team's technical growth
- Take part in architectural decisions and the evolution of the cloud platform
Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or infrastructure
- Excellent knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, state management, cross-environment deployments)
- Experience designing and operating GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Solid knowledge of Bash or Python
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to independently solve complex technical problems and take ownership of their delivery
- Willingness to work on a shift rotation
Advantage
- Experience with AWS security tools (GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS Config)
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog)
- AWS Solutions Architect or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification
- Experience with AWS Organizations and multi-account environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
