Cyber Security Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect capable of bridging the gap between cybersecurity and specific IT and business needs. Your role will involve assessing the security aspects of technology solutions, identifying potential risks, and designing practical, effective, and sustainable measures.

This position is suitable for an experienced mid-level specialist with a broad scope of expertise—someone well-versed in security architecture who can independently evaluate designs and communicate recommendations across both IT and business functions.

This is not an operational security role focused on monitoring or incident investigation; rather, it is a role centered on architecture, consulting, and strategic planning within the cybersecurity domain.

• Assessing IT solution security – analyzing security aspects of systems, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.
• Risk identification and assessment – proposing specific technical and procedural measures while considering their practical usability.
• Defining security requirements – developing, applying, and monitoring requirements across technology solutions.
• Reviewing architectural designs – identifying vulnerabilities, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and risks associated with improper security measure implementation.
• Consulting with IT and business stakeholders – clearly communicating security risks, recommendations, and potential solution options.
• Approving security requirements – processing requirements via ServiceNow, Jira, approval workflows, and ad-hoc consultations.
• Security architecture development – conceptual collaboration on the design and long-term direction of security platforms, such as PAM, EDR, SIEM, log management, and monitoring.
• Security incidents – collaboration on assessing their root causes and impacts, and proposing preventive measures.
• Technical consultations and configuration reviews – evaluating security technology settings using an audit-based approach and potentially participating in the architectural fine-tuning of solutions.

What we expect from you:

• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, networking, or related technical fields.
• Practical experience in assessing the security of technical and architectural solutions.
• Strong understanding of system, network, infrastructure, and cloud environment security.
• Knowledge of security architecture principles and the ability to apply security standards in practice.
• Ability to identify technical risks, critically evaluate designs, and recommend specific, actionable measures.
• Independence, structured thinking, and the ability to respond flexibly to project needs.
• Professional communication with technical specialists and business partners.
• Fluent Czech or Slovak and English proficiency sufficient for working with technical documentation.

Experience with the following technologies is an advantage:

• Firewalls – network and application firewalls, segmentation, security rules, and architecture.
• EDR / XDR – endpoint security and advanced security platforms.
• SIEM / Log Management – centralization, analysis, and management of security logs.
• Network Security – VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC, and related security mechanisms.
• IAM – identity management, authentication, and authorization.
• Cloud Security – securing cloud infrastructure, identities, network communication, and monitoring.
• PAM – principles of privileged access management and their architectural implementation.
