Bonami – Introducing TypeScript and Node.js

Project overview

Bonami is one of Central Europe's leading furniture and design e-commerce stores. Devcity extended its development teams with our own engineers, who helped introduce a new technology stack.

Challenge

The platform was built on PHP. Bonami wanted to extend the team's skills to TypeScript and Node.js to build new services faster and scale better – without pausing day-to-day development.

Our role and solution

• Extending in-house teams with experienced TypeScript and Node.js developers
• Helping bring the new stack into everyday development and production
• Designing the structure of new services and shared standards
• Code reviews, best practices and mentoring of in-house developers

Outcome

Bonami extended its stack from PHP to TypeScript and Node.js, and the in-house teams adopted the new technologies for further independent development.
