Volby.cz – Performance and Functional Testing

For the Czech Statistical Office we ran performance and functional tests of volby.cz before elections over the past two years.

Project description

Volby.cz is the official portal for Czech election results. When polling stations close, millions of citizens, media and institutions arrive at the same moment.

Challenge

On election day the portal must not slow down or show incorrect data. A sudden traffic spike is the hardest test for the system.

Our role

Load and performance tests simulating peak traffic
Finding bottlenecks in the application and infrastructure
Functional tests of results processing and display
Testing before every election over the past two years

Result

The portal enters election weekend with verified performance and functionality.
